BACKGROUND
Tom completed a six-week internship with Hospitality Marketing Concepts. During his internship, he spent four weeks in the Shanghai, China, regional office and two weeks in the corporate office in Irvine, California. He worked under the supervision of the regional vice president, Asia Pacific division. Hospitality Marketing Concepts is an international marketing organization specializing in hotel club loyalty membership sales. While traveling throughout the Asia Pacific region, his duties included assisting with presentations, client meetings and telemarketing activities.
Tom was responsible for managing and for managing and organizing the development process of two (2) residential lots in Pasadena into multi-family units. For this property management assignment, he interfaced with city officials, the architectural designer, the contractor and the property owner.
Tom also managed apartment units for which he was responsible for day-to-day management, rental of vacant units, and maintenance of lease agreements. As a construction worker, he assisted the contractors in remodeling apartment interiors.
